We here at The Delish Dish love catering your private events and parties, but we also really love participating in public events throughout the city. We are able to meet new people and spread our love for deliciousness and the art of cuisine, while enjoying the people and atmosphere that make Cincinnati so fantastic.  That’s why we are anxiously gearing up for the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s Wild About Wine tasting event next Thursday, June 8.

As part of the zoo’s summer series A Toast to the Wild, this event will benefit the Lindner Center for Conservation and Research of Endangered Wildlife (CREW). Pairing delicious treats with wine AND helping a good cause, what could be better? How about live music, and unique and up-close animal encounters!

That’s right, this is more than just a wine tasting, it is an entire night out at the zoo for adults! The event begins at 6:30 when the zoo has closed to the public, but the animals will be out late to enjoy the fun times with everybody. No matter what the weather looks like, there are both indoor and outdoor exhibits throughout the zoo, so don’t let a little rain scare you. (Be sure to stop by the gorilla exhibit to pay homage and raise your wine glass in memory of the city’s favorite fallen friend Harambe.)

The Delish Dish is sending down a team of some our friendliest staff to share a tasty creation that we’ve come up with — Mini Blue Cheese Biscuits with our signature Pomegranate Pinot Noir Jam, which is available from our sister company, Made by Mavis. We would love it if you come say hello to our team, and give them a taste.

Although tickets for this event have sold out, it is not the only opportunity you will have to attend. The next Wild About Wine event is on August 17, and tickets will be available on July 6. If wine isn’t your drink of choice, perhaps you would be more suited for the Zoo Brew event on October 5. The event is similar to Wild About Wine, but will have several local breweries sampling their drinks and discussing the art of brewing beer.

The Delish Dish is just one of several local restaurants and eateries that will be available with light snacks and tasty samples, but don’t worry — most guests agree that there is more than enough food available to fill your belly by the end of the evening. We look forward to this event, and can’t wait to relax with the animals and enjoy some of life’s finer things. See you Thursday!
